


They will also, as always, play four against the Yankees, with two games in the Bronx and two games in Flushing. The Mets will host the Mariners and the Rangers for three each, travel to play the Athletics and the Angels for three, and will play four against the Astros, split between the two ballparks. They were originally slated to play the AL West clubs in 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic wiped those games from the calendar. The Mets will also square off against the AL West in Interleague Play. They will be home during all the big baseball weekends, including during Memorial Day weekend to face the Phillies, Independence Day weekend to face the Rangers, and Labor Day Weekend to face the Nationals. They will finish up their home schedule on a Wednesday night against the Marlins on September 28. The Mets will kick things off at home on Thursday, March 31 against the Nationals, and conclude their season at Truist Park against the Braves on Sunday, October 2. With the CBA set to expire on December 1, it’s anybody’s guess as to whether this season will start on time, but for now, it’s time to start planning ahead to some Mets baseball for next season. The Mets still have 56 games to go as they try to stop their slide and earn their first NL East title since 2021, but earlier today, they released their schedule for the 2022 season.
